Are you a baby boomer who grew up in the northern Virginia/DC area too??

Do YOU remember any of these??

Our family's roots in Northern Va started with my grandparents. My mom was born in Arlington and graduated Washington-Lee High School in 1933. She attended Strayer College and Columbia School of Law. She worked for the Treasury Dept and the Office of Scientific Research and Development before marrying and raising 4 children. She recalled shopping where Hogates is now, taking the trolley car, and streets of cinders. Two places she enjoyed were Old Ebbitts Grill and Blackies. Dad was a North Carolinean transplant, arrived in the 1930's, lived at the YMCA, later graduating with a law degree from George Washington University (National University). After moving many times for his career, the family returned to Northern Va when I was 5. We lived in North Springfield (Camrose Place), Vienna, Falls Church, Annandale.

If you also attended Edsall Park Elementary (Springfield), Poe Middle, or George C Marshall HS in Falls Church, Va (in the 60's), leave a note.

If you have memories of growing up in the northern Va area, share them.
